Some questions that have been posed to Nottingham Conservatives, so far without the courtesy of a reply.

Nov 2018:

I'm shocked by what Dominic Raab has done. Are you?

Dec 2018:

Hello Nottingham Conservatives, did you know that it was on this day in 1990 that it became possible to walk from Britain to France as the last wall of rock separating two halves of the Channel Tunnel was removed? Feels like another, much happier, time, no? Well, unless you had a mortgage to service of course (14% interest rates - Lordy!).

Anyway, I digress, quick question : Sarah Newton, minister for disabled people, health and work, told MPs recently that the customer satisfaction rating for PIP has risen from 76% to 87%.

However, according to "Benefits and Work" :

"The feedback is collected by the company that undertook the assessment and is not anonymous. , This means that the claimant is likely to be very wary of criticising the health professional, for fear that it may result in a more negative assessment.

The assessment companies have targets to meet for positive feedback. This gives them a strong incentive to try to ensure that they only collect feedback that they believe is likely to be positive.

The feedback questions do not deal with the accuracy of the report or whether any additional evidence provided was taken into account. Yet it is failings in these areas that cause a great deal of dissatisfaction amongst claimants.

The sample sizes are very small and there is now way of knowing if they are representative. For example, what proportion of those sampled have physical health conditions and what proportion mental health conditions? It may be that people with some conditions have a much better or worse experience than others. We also don’t know how many were home visits and how many took place at assessment centres."
My question is to ask whether this Government is incompetent at collecting data or whether it is willfully using misleading data to mask the fact that disabled people - DISABLED PEOPLE ! - are routinely having their assessments misreported, are often treated without compassion and are often left in dire economic straits under extreme stress?

Hoping you can advise, Best Regards, Ash

10Feb2018: Apparently, one can no longer post on the Nottingham Conservatives page, so, if are listening NottsCons, here is a question. Why are you removing free school meals for children whose families earn more that £7,400?

****************************************

17Feb2018 : Hello @nottinghamconservaties. Still can't post on your page so hope you see this message. Apparently the welfare system is so difficult to navigate that people are deliberately going to jail because they can't get the help they are due and are starving. I think that is shameful. What do you think? (Link to case of Andrea Westwater)

09MAy2017 : Shocked by the tone of the Zac Goldsmith Campaign. Are you going to challenge David Cameron to back up his claims re Mr Gani? http://bftfblog.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/zac-goldsmiths-2016-london-mayoral.html

22Oct2017 : Disgusting that benefits claimants, already on the breadline, have to wait 6 weeks before receiving any welfare payments. How can they (and their children for goodness sake) possibly get through this period? Utterly shameful and vindictive policy. What are you doing to get this policy cancelled?

18Nov2017: Having previously voted down a bill to ensure rental accomodation was fit for human habitation (what is the matter with you, for the love of God?), have you now realised how shameful your previous behaviour was - will you now support Karen Buck's private members bill on the issue?https://england.shelter.org.uk/support_us/campaigns/fitness_for_human_habitation

23Dec 2017 :Appalled by the examples of families having to live in disgusting B&B accomodation for long periods of time. Cannot understand why the Conservatives voted against making rented accomodation fit for human habitation. Maybe you can explain it to me?
